Bonding Carbon Fibre.
I'm looking to fit some switches in my carbon fibre ram air covers.
I've got some scraps of carbon fibre and want to fit a small square behind where the switches
will go to stiffen / strenghthen the cover panel.
Any advise on what to use or avoid for sticking the two pieces of carbon?

Use Polyester Resin, same stuff that's used for glass fibre. Saturate the carbon mattting with the resin and it should bond to the back of the ram air cover. Then you can drill it or machine it as required.

Thanks Guys,

Once again I've managed to stumble blindly past the bleedin' obvious!
The carbon fibre I'm going to use is a "finished" piece, but I'll just roughen up the mating surfaces
before applying the resin.
