How to increase oil volume while using a street pipe?
Is there a way to increase oil volume while using a Street pipe (Brock Street Meg) such as a larger oil filter etc? I currently have a OSR pan. I want the additional oil for safety while spraying. Thanks for any help.

Add a little extra oil, 1/3 - 1/2 quart maybe.
You may loose a little hp down low, but you would not suck the pan dry up high.
Ive heard of the loss hp on a dyno, i don't see how it can hurt going down the track where the oil is in the head ,low and pushed to the rear of the pan from acceleration.

Thanks for the help guys.
I just ordered the 'Heavy Duty Oil Pump Cover" I have already increased the pressure. I will put a little more oil in and remove the catch can. Does anyone know of a large oil filter or something to increase volume?

Mobile 1 filter M1-110
Napa Gold 1356
Both are a bit longer with more filter media surface area.
I've cut them both open. Good stuff inside.
I've run them both on my BMW for almost 140K miles and on my 14 for a while with no problems at all.
I hope this helps,
Tom

oil volume ? Imo You really dont need more then stock and may never will.Thats a mistake some people make building drag cars. you reallty dont need much more then stock. Its harder on bearings and harder on the oil rings.unless you have a real thumper that screams the stock pump works fine.

In the 14's case this would be wrong ! Anything you can do to supply a better volume of clean oil to the kaw's
This wouldn't be a problem so much but the motor also has a oil feed system to the rods that don't lend itself well to good oil supply

The schnitz oil pressure release valve raises pressure a LOT though. 110 psi is a LOT! In your opinion, is that better then stock? I've heard that the real problem with the kawi's oil system is the lack of oil FLOW (as in volume of oil flowing past the bearings), not the pressure itself. I suppose increased pressure will increase flow to an extent, but not dramatically.

Go with a good pump cover, and seal it well'' one of Jim's gear set ups imo would benefit more then the high psi relief by itself .
Plus the relief is at high end of scale it does nothing at lower speeds..............
