removing the Alternator Rotor

I tried the search feature on this forum with no luck.

Anyway.. tearing into my 2007 motor with a spun rod bearing.. just about ready to split the case. I don't mind buying the Kawasaki tool or perhaps a motion pro tool if it works.. but is there perhaps another trick I can try to get the alt rotor off? The crank has definitely got to go to a machine shop to have the #3 crank pin cleaned up. Can any one confirm the Motion Pro tool will work?

Won't work. The rotor has external threads
