Thanks guys, he knows his stuff to be sure. Along with the Auto Tune he installed a map sensor. His shop is wall to wall turbo Busas with other assorted vehicles that have turbos.

Matt Spencer moved to Idaho and worked for Salt Lake Motorsports, the local Duc dealer. I was stuck without a tuner for the 14 until you folks gave me Horners number. Horner has a shop in Sandy, Utah now. Great guys Matt and Scott, I was ready to haul the zx-14 to Idaho so Matt could tune it, then you guys gave me Horner's info.

glad you got hooked up with Scott.
GREAT guy, uber enthusiast, always helping everybody.

How far do you have to travel to get to his dyno?

I was just at his shop tonight for about an hour. His shop is about 20 miles away from my house. At 7# boost it's making around 240 hp +/- 10%. The setup is a Muzzy stage one with a power commander V plus the map sensor so that it is true auto tune. The engine is a fresh rebuild and has about 1 and a half hours on it and running sweet. Scott is breaking the engine in which for nicasil is really breaking in the rings.

I rebuilt the engine myself and installed the turbo. The Kawasaki shop manuel leaves a lot to be desired, more riddles than specs. The motor fried the pistons while getting tuned at a shop other than SL motorsports or Horner's. If I told you the name of the shop that had a dyno and what they sold, you would call me the biggest dumb ass ever to turbo a 14 and take it to arch enemy of jap bikes. Nuff said. The bikes runs sweet now without that knocking sound that comes from the 06-07 pistons. Identical in spec but different material on 08 and newer. Thought for a long time it was the cam chain tensioner, replaced it with an Ape manual that made a big difference but till had that pesky knocking.

?????????? Who the F**k are you? The guy with the ZX-12 that claims to be a 636? Cut your tank down to beat a street 14 turbo at min boost? Cheated with unidentified NOS?! Dude, go back to the Mormon Church and procreate imbeciles. The total and genuine street/cruiser /turbo road machine 14 will punch 100K miles in the near future. I don't know if you have a girlfriend problem but I do. None of them want to meet you . Too skinny and too abnoxious.

Never happened, Bragged about beating us when we were at stock wheel base and he went NOS with extended arm. His times for a short moment did beat our best time. Next meet we broke into the mid nines and topped his by 10 mph on the big end. Fire control needs to know that you are running NOS. His 12 is set up for drag strip only. The 14 is street legal in 48 states and low boost. Just made 37k miles on the road and legal. The track folks need to know if your on NOS so you don't harm the rescuers when you motor scatters and catches fire. Just common courtesy.

thanks for the kind words, nothing brings a smile to my face and lets me know i did a good job tuning like being accused of spraying. but lets face facts: a 1200cc sportbike running 9.8's @ 135-140mph is running on motor. im sure everyone on this forum would agree.

to be fair i will be more than happy to have anyone go over the bike after any passes this year to look for nitrous. i'll keep the took kit handy. of course for credibility all teardowns will have to be filmed and posted.

as for scott, thanks for posting the reference, sounds like a cool guy. i'll have to get my bike down there to see what it can do on the dyno.

the long of it short is that we haven't ran heads up with us both being on stretched arms. true, me bragging probably wasn't the most refined act, but beating a turbo'd bike that has a bigger motor is pretty neat.

although i am curious as to what mike my bike "drag strip only" we're both running lowering links, middle hole. both stretched. mirrors, signals, horn, kickstand, dot tires, headlights, coolant, insurance, registration. the only streetability difference is that i race on a cut tank and have a fiberglass seat for the track.

Never mind, you went 1200mph in the quarter on a 636, you win, and I won't argue. Jeeze!
