Ok, here's some pics of how mine turned out. I used tubing rather than square bar stock as in the old picture. I started sanding the areas I was go to be epoxying the aluminum tubing to the radiator but stopped because the coating on the radiator seems to be very robust and a good substrate as long as it had a tooth to it. I did expose some aluminum just to make sure the epoxy held to something if not the radiator coating.
After rewelding the mounting arms and epoxying the tubing mounts I coated everything with POR51 coating to keep the elements from the metal.
I cut some carboard and taped it to the back side to make sure I didn't set the radiator down on something on the work bench and wreck the cooling fins. As everyone has noticed on this forum, I tend to be a bit clumsy, lol.

Yeah hopefully every question is answered with this.
It was real easy but holy cow the radiator can be a real pain in the ass to get the two top holes lined up with the frame when mounting it back on the bike.

You really dont need all that.all that is needed is the basic fan thats held through the rad with zip ties I have had that setup for thousands of miles with no problem.thats the standard way to install most aftermarket fans it been tried and proven to work fine.

I chose not to use an aftermarket fan. It was more efficient and cost effective this way. But that's not to say anyone can't do anything with their bike the way they want to. The zip ties will not work with a stock fan btw. On a side note, most aftermarket fans are flat as opposed to our very curved radiator how do you keep the fan from rubbing at the center of the fan? Any rubber spacer blocks like is usually used with the zip tie setup, blocks a good portion of the radiator fins from flowing air which defeats the purpose to mount a flat fan on a curved radiator. But then again our bikes don't need extra fans anyway. lol
