AMA Daytona superbike race KZ1000 J model 1980 The new J model 1000 and the real Eddie Lawson Replica bike. I guess it was not a replica then. J model engines went on to be THE motor to have for dragracing Kaw's. Listen when Kaw downplays the "complicated" 4-valve heads. and hitting 150 mph on the straits. What would have happened if you could go back in time and take any new 600cc 2011 model and raced it with those superbikes? Cool footage though.

I remeber those. Pretty fast to, Black and gold, could have been real fast had it not been driveshaft. I remember running a guy on one. I had my 1980 GS1100E. Both bikes were stock except for 4 into 1's and I had mine jetted for Pod filters. I beat him by half a bike 3 or for times that day.
