My 14 is defective . It should not have as many miles as it does.

LOL!!!

I guess mine is as well. A little over 65K as of last week. Same color as yours. How many valve adjustments has it had?

Will have to double-check the service manual when I get home. I believe the odometer locks at 99,999 and will not register any additional miles.

Wow really!? I didn't know the odo will lock . I've heard of a few other 14's with over 100K but I don't know how they are getting that info if the odo locks.

I've checked the valves myself 4 times . The 1st 3 times the valves didn't move one bit . The 4 th time they were starting to tighten a bit. Maybe the 5th time I'll have to move some shims around . We'll see.
Glad to hear of another Red doing perfect!

Keeping mine then , one question ? how many sprocket's, tire's,steering head bearings, chains fork seal's just wondering ????
Put 30,000 on a new 91CBR1000 in one year 3 chains sprockets 4 rear tires, 4 front,1 set head bearing's, 1 set fork seal's

1 set of sprockets , 1 chain going on 2 in a little bit cause I've got almost 40K on this chain and it's slowly dying. No fork seals , no steering bearings, just regrease every so often and a fluid swap, and tires I lost count lol!
Now thats impressive for any bike. 70,000 miles with that little maintainence needed is awesome. And still feels like 20k lol. Man I hope mine holds up that well. Rock on brother

Double-checked the manual...left out a digit. The odo does lock, but it is at 999,999. My bad.

Wow imagine any bike able to last long enough to lock the odo at that mileage!? That would be pretty awesome
