Want information on shipping within the US
I'm looking to have a package (approximately 250lbs) sent from Indiana to Washington State.
I've checked with UPS and FedEx - they are both quoting $1,200 for ground service, which I think is robbery! Does anyone have experience with a shipping company that could do this job for a better price?

I would try a feight or moving company its about 5 years ago but I used Old Dominion to ship a dirt bike from Texas to NY it was about $450 then around the same time I shipped a ZX 12 from Texas to NY for about $650

Try R&L Carriers. You need an LTL (Less than Truckload) service company. Go to www.rlcarriers.com.
I checked and a Class 50 weighing 250 lbs would be $203.00 from Indy to Seattle.
