Mother Kawi lets go for broke here .. Give us 1700 CC and shut all the doors to anyone that would dare to try .. Ok 1700 may be a bit to much to ask but 1500 CCs is not out the question ... Toss in a bit better aerodynamic and toss off 30 pounds while you are at it ...
I would also like to see a bit sharper bodys lines and a better art work on the paint ..
If you can't pull all that off atleast give us a full 1500 CCs ...

no thanks to all of the above minus weight reduction.
a factory 2 mil or 4 mil crank would be nice! and a larger set of factory TBs.
make it more drag race friendly. who cares about the other stuff, buy a 10 or buy a touring bike.
____________
b.w.
zx14, little longer, little louder, little lower.
08 Busa, just a little longer and louder and lower than the 14

The ZX11 D model stayed the same for a longs time 1993-2002. This is after they upgraded the C model 1990-1992. Its not their (Kaw) style to make changes to the big bikes, especially since they got it (ZX14) right the first time around.
As far as the ZX14, what little changes were made in 2008 will be it until 2014-2015.....
Although, I would love some of the above mentioned changes....

I don't think Kawasaki will give us the quarter-mile and top-speed monster we would all like. They have to produce a bike which the average rider can use safely on the highway, conforms to all the various bits of legislation world-wide, won't give too much ammo' to the anti-bike politcians and is affordable.
I expect that some of the electronic aids from the 2011 ZX-10 will filter across to the 14, that and a new paint job. Prove me wrong Mr K.

Biggest improvement I think they could make is weight reduction. Engine has plenty of power IMO. Riding position on the 14 was second to none. Always loved the 14's looks but if they could keep the same basic design but make it more aerodynamic than that would be a plus. Maybe if they redo the 14 in 2012 I could pick up a leftover 2010 for a good price.

I'd like to see....
twin spar frame
symmetrical ports on all 4 intakes
10.0" intake tract length
1.95 sq. in MCSA
5.2 deg int port taper
50mm throttle bodies
36mm/31mm valves
30mm intake buckets
28mm exhaust buckets
89mm bore
62mm stroke (1543cc)
1.75" x 17" primary tubes
separate crank case and cylinder block
variable cam timing
rs232 port on ecu
off road software for tuning
Aerodynamic tail section
total control of airflow threw the bike around the engine
lightweight head lamp assemblies
Ram air intake system with 7 deg divergence
Keep in mind that IF a new zx14 was coming out in 2012 it would be in the tooling production stages right now.
So this thread is really about 1-2 years too late.

Screw off. I use to own a 14 before I got my 6r. It's not the Holy Grail of motorcycling like you want to believe. Not everyone rides in a fucking straight line all the time. Anyone can use 300hp bikes when all you have to do is pin the throttle and keep it straight.
