Dry Nitrous 101

Ive been looking at a DynoTune Dry Nitrous system for my 14. It would be for very occasional use, comes with 15,30,40 hp jets. They claim you can install with no other mods?? Is there any truth to this? I thought you had to pull timing and add more fuel?

I have that kit and its a nice kit for the price. Very easy to install, but yes I would add fuel for sure.

I imagine you would feel the 15 shot but I would go with the 30 shot. Smokin had great results with this setup as well.

No need to pull timing with a 30 shot. Run 93 and add 8% to 10% more fu
el just to be safe.

I would add 12% to a 30hp jet with 93.

How do you use the nitrous safely? Lets say im going down the highway at 50mph, I would shift into 2nd, then go to full throttle then hit the button? What do you do when its time to shift? Do you spray through a gear change or not? What happens if you bump rev limmiter on spray?

If you bump the rev limited on spray it's not going to be good, especially if it spits a shim.
A good idea is guy a shift light (dyna shift minder is a good, easy light to use) and set it at 10,500 so that way you know when it's time to shift.

ok, what is the right way to shift on spray? Do you just let off the spray then the throttle and shift as normal? Or spray through the shift?

If you get the Power Commander Hub I can send you a wiring diagram to wire it as a window switch and auto change the fuel maps.

Or put a window switch to cut the spray off at a pre determined RPM. That's the safest.
