Junkyard Busa on a budget, parts list

01 wrecked Busa with a clear title. No plastic, motor or swingarm. $1000. 00 Plastic complete set from a friend that made a dragbike out of his. $500 for everything. I had the wheels, motor and a swingarm from a 97 SRAD 600. it has no box on top. Had the Extensions from an older Suzuki. Had to fix the trans in the 05 motor and put a spacer plate and one adjutable cam sprocket on the intake so I could get the timing back right from the spacer plate. $250. Turbo left over from Velocity kit when I upgraded to the ball bearing turbo on the other bike. Found a craked Turbo header on Ebay don't know who made it. $75 But I fixed it at work. I made a crude plenum out of sheetmetal, had a muffler shop make the charge pipe and painted it silver, Got the blue silicone couplings from a trucking company supply. $85 for all of that. 38mm Tial wastegate that I made into an adjustable one. I drilled and tapped a bolt with a locknut on it through the center. put a flatwasher inside and you run the bolt down to adjust for more boost. Don't forget to drill a vent hole in the cap or it will spike and blow a head gasket. I aimed for 10 pounds on pump gas so I needed the spacer. I could have left it stock and maxed at 7 pounds. Scored a 03 wiring harness from Ebay $150.
04 front end and triple tree given to me by a friend, But no handle bars. So I lowered the front in the triple tree and put a set of 1996 GSXR1100 clip on's upsidedown on the forks. Works great. put new seals in them also $15. Autozone FI fuel pump, BEGI 2025 rising rate regulator and hoses, $150 used. I had the power commander, oilcooler block off's $20, Don't forget to remove the oil filter and take out the 8mm plug in the middle of the block or you will burn the bearings out of it. We will chunk in another $200 for Misc. parts including the Ebay $40 dollar undertail. all of the controls, chain and sprockets nut's and bolts, brakes needed I had. $60 for the Fuel pressure gauge and cheap boost gauge. $180 for the tune. 254 rear wheel H.P. 9 lbs of boost on pump gas. I sold the bike for $5900 I am working on another one. here are a couple of pics. It's not a 14 but they are just so cheap.

Fuel pump and Power commander

96 GSXR1100 bars,switches and fuel/boost gauges

import car airfilter and charge pipe

kit installed and homade with dump and blow off pipe on

modified tial wastegate, you can see where I made the adjuster bolt and the vent I drilled.

oilcooler removed and oil return line from turbo needs to be down by the pickup in the pan or it can cause the bike to smoke when oil backs up in the turbo. The feed line is T'ed off of the oil pressure switch. You can see the block off plates in this pic.
