Got Nuts?
Yeah, ok, so here goes ...
Thought I had a exhaust leak, so I ordered a set of exhaust gaskets and figured I'd replace them all while I was at it.
Pulled the fairings off (what a pain) only to find #2 cylinder had the collar completely OFF and had slid down 4-5 inches. Me thinks problem found. Ok, may not be a gasket leaking, obviously things need to be tightened back up.
#1 and #4 both had one nut holding the collar on, no idea where they fell of into.
#3 had both nuts on, but I took them off with my fingers.
Decided to save the gaskets and see what happens when I just put stuff back in place ... correctly.
I got 8 new steel lock nuts, 8 steel lock washers and went to town. I even put Loctite on each stud, but I know the heat will just defeat that. there was not enough stud showing to safety wire each cylinder, otherwise I would have, hehe.
Guess next time I should not wait 6k miles to re-tighten my header nuts after a full system change.
Also, those darn collectors arch and bow like mad. Just torqued more.

I will do a few heat cycles, maybe ride the bike around a bit, and then retighten.
