Anyone ever use nitrous with a turbo kit

So I've lowered my expectations for my turbo kit and I'm only aiming for just under 6 psi. I was wondering if anyone has ever used a small shot of nitrous just for cooling and a little more power. In your opinion, which would be better.

6 psi plus a 15 shot
or
turning up the boost just a wee bit more?

Either way, I'll mix in 112 octane race gas

Seems like it would be a nightmare to me. I know a local Guy doing the same thing but IMO to much stuff to go wrong.

Nitrous is known to raise egt. While you may cool the intake charge, I would be more concerned about your combustion temps. If it were such a great option you see less people running $2k intercoolers. Water injection is a safer option.

I think so few people do it because no class allows for 2 power adders.

That, and there is a good chance you will blow it up due to the reasons mentioned. There is a blown fuel class in LSR...but everyone uses intercoolers and big turbos.

Why only 6psi? You can run 8 all day on a stock motor on premium pump fuel with a little timing pulled. Some guys run even more. But 8's pretty standard.

haha.... yes, the manifold is on the bike, I tapped the oil feed, and I'm waiting to get the dp and wastegate fabbed up.

And trust me... I know I'm over thinking this whole thing. Then again, what are winters for if not for thinking about bikes?

Yes all the time on the old draw through Mr turbo kits on several old school GSXR's and Bandit 1200's. I had a 25 shot on the backside of the 42 Mikuni carb just to get the old Ray Jay turbo to spool off the line. It really produced some good ET's and it worked well.

I've known quite a few turbo guys that never broke their motors. I think if you tune them right and leave the boost alone they don't have to break. Of course leaving the boost alone and not going wfo for 5 miles straight under the wrong conditions is hard for some guys to resist I know

Have you done the math to compare intake temps and hp with a 15 shot, vs. water/alcohol injection at higher boost? Did you decide on not using E85? That would cool intake temps significantly.

Why don't you call RCC? They sell water injection systems, and could probably give you some good insight on what you could expect.
