Beemer at Maxton mile 200.23

I hope Brock doesn't mind i copied this off Face book

Brock Davidson In an incredibly unselfish move, Keith Dennis gave up his ride this afternoon in an attempt to help the team reach our goal of 200+ MPH on a stock BMW with all bolt-on components. The legendary Memphis drag racer, also known as ‘Shine’ hand...ed the keys of our freshly (in the staging lanes at the eleventh hour!) unrestricted BMW to veteran land speed racer Zack Millholland. FYI: Keith personally registered several runs in the 197 MPH range with a best of 197.29 MPH on the challenging Maxton Mile surface. On the final run of the ECTA season, Zach was able to reach a top speed of 200.23 MPH on our only clean, non-speed restricted run of the weekend on either of our BMW’s. Thanks Keith and great job Zack!

................................................................................................................................................................

Brock is batting 1000 at Maxton with his Brocked out bikes ..The ZX14 , Busa and now a BMW cracks 200 ... Let's not forget Zack Millholland skilled riding .. Way to go Zack ..

Let me also add Bikelands one and only Wrongway (Roy) set a new record at 207 on his zx14 .. Making his bike the fastest ever UNBLOWN naked bike to run at Maxton .. Way to go Roy ..

Zack is a great rider, and his brother Chad piloted Brock's 14 to it's 200 mph pass as well. Of course, everyone knows about Ketih.

Brocks record at Maxton..

Brocks 2008 Busa 202.57 Lee S Rider
Brocks 2006 ZX14 200.92 Chad M Rider
Brocks 2010 BMW 200.23 Zack M Rider

This shows 2 things ... 1.. Just how good these riders are ... 2 ..How damn close these 3 bikes really are ..

I wonder what the 2011 ZX10 will bring to the mix with a non-HP restricted model ? Will the unrestricted zx10 be a game changer ? Or just another 200 MPH bike to add to the list ?

I'd like to see what that 14 could have done in October, instead of the June heat!

With 352 more cc's it wouldn't be able to rev to 14000+ rpm either. Bigger engines=bigger heavier pistons and rods, which means you have to keep piston speeds down to keep the engines together. And we know the higher the rpm's the more peak power you can make. Imagine if we could spin our 14's to 14000 rpm.....we would get some incredible peak hp numbers On the same note, I doubt the beemer punched out 352 more cc's would be able to wind up any tighter or make much more power than a 14. They're all limited by the materials they're made of and how much stress they'll take. 1000's will always be able to wind up tighter than the big bores, but they'll never have more torque
