Subject: ZX14 60'
Tim,
I am having a debate with friends about if a 300LB rider(me) on a 68" ZX14 can pull off a 1.29 and 1.25 60'(one time 60's not repeatable) with huge gearing 16/XX, tuned single stage lock-up , prefect stack height, springs and spacers, stock-motor tuned to launch hard and stock dressed bike making 201hp on mr9 . Do you think it is in anyway possible? I have the time slips but They keep telling me it can't be done; that the track timer must have been off set or something. Do you think it is in anyway possible?
Thanks for your time,
BLK ICE

"I don’t see why not we have 230 pound riders with our clutch on average bikes running 1.32 60 good times
thank you
tim"
Note: I edited the gearing and put 16/XX for this post on bikeland because I didn't want to show it. If you all know more then this man about 60' times then you all must be right and I am wrong.

Well i'm beginning to think your hand clutch is as much hot air as your 1.29 60 ft's . i see Tim didn't say 1.29 but 1.32 with a 230lb rider WITH TIMS CLUTCH .
maybe you should ask MTC with the Gen 2 also
Tims responses was "I don’t see why not we have 230 pound riders with our clutch on average bikes running 1.32 60 good times
thank you
tim"
I think you should read what I asked him again. Hot air, well I'm just tried to give evidence that a zx14 can 1.2 60. I put what I had out on the table. Eat it or not. I will continue give the best info. I can to board members. If it is wrong, I did not do it on purpose. My clutch hand hot air; what is your 60' with your slider?

the 330' mark is the point which your time is measured 330' past the starting line.
It's 270' past the 60' marker.

I Know. Are you just beening an ass?

So when your cutting your normal 1.40 60fts what's your 330 foot and 1/8th mile time?

6.0s and some low 6.1. depends on conditions(clutch wear, heat etc.) Why?

How about 330 ft with a 1.40 60ft? and why because to pull a 1.25 60 ft when your in the consistant 1.40s is just huge. My average is about 1.45 with an dip into the 1.42's once in awhile. I'm no way in hell going to jump to a 1.25. for your weight I'm impressed with your 5.95 and 6.0's for sure. I have a buddy that's 300 suited and he's been 6.28 with a 1.58 60ft.

Yup that's a ticket that's right on the money. and very impressive for your weight as well! I even think you probably went 5.95 on that ticket just not a 1.25 60 ft. it would only take you a 1.42 to 1.44 60ft to go 5.95. I had a ticket from this year that said I wen a 1.089 60 ft but then the rest of the ticket was right on what I always run I just figured some garbage or something blew in front of the beam or one of a pesky ground squirrels.

Ice, very impressive , 5.95, 6.0's , 201 hp ? but some #'s from http://www.wallaceracing.com/Calculators.htm just #'s

1.25 @ 60 = 52.14mph = 76.87ft per sec

1.29 @ 60 = 50.83mph = 74.57ft per sec

1.34 to 1.29 Smoking must gain 1.85mph or 2.72ft= 32.6in @ 60ft

1.34 @ 60 = 48.98mph = 71.85ft per sec

1.49 @ 60 - 45.15 mph = 66.23ft per sec

1.25 to 1.49 6.99mph ditterence @ 60ft 10.54ft = 126in or about 2 bikes

7mph @ 60ft , don't think so, still you win super heavy , hand clutch , 5';s are impressive @ 830lbs

Blk, it could be very well the timing system of the track you are at. It is the same track that you have seen those 60's, right? Mathews' brother has shown me a time slip with a 1.0 or something 60 and explained how it was possible. I dont remember what he said though.
The stock motor just doesnt have the power to pull that kind of number with a 800lb combined weight. I am waiting to see a 1.29 from a 190 plus unsuited rider. That will impress me big time.
I have only managed three 1.38-.39 sixty fts and that killed some of my fibers at 65.5wb at the time. I am only 210 unsuited too.
You doing 1.40 anything at your weight is an awesome job no matter how anyone looks at it.

Obviously your not understand what EVERYONE here is trying to tell you. I give up. Talking to you is like trying a convince a teenager that knows it all something”
If I limited myself to what EVERYONE told me I can do, I would not have achieved many of the things I have in my hobby of drag racing and in life in general. When it comes to drag racing my main focuses are Number 1, have fun and Number 2, get the lowest e/t possible with what I have to work with. During Smokin Thread the question can up about a 1.2 60', so I posted a slip with a 1.2 60'( I wish I had not, as it started a shit storm and e/t is my personal focus anyway.) There were a lot of questions and comments some in the spirit of being helpful and some in the spirit of being negative. I shared a little of my history in drag racing, some of the people who helped me, and the events leading up to the 1.2 tickets. I asked professionals on the subject if it was possible and I shared the results. As you can see in my sig. line e/t is what I am proud of, I did not type 1.2 60' champ because it was a two time thing that I would not bet I could repeat when asked and it is not my focus. As Bently stated”I had a ticket from this year that said I wen a 1.089 60 ft but then the rest of the ticket was right on what I always run I just figured some garbage or something blew in front of the beam or one of a pesky ground squirrels.” This very well may be the case for me. I didn’t make-up the slip, the track gave it to me, valid or not. Out of respect, I tried to answer all the question EVERYONE had about my slip in Smokin Thread which was a mistake. As far as acting like a teenager, I am far from it. Believing what EVERYONE tells me, never! However, listening to the voice of reason form a collective body of knowledgeable people will always be considered. eklipse636, “I give up”. That is your right; but thanks for your posts that I have found helpful in the pass.

Sincerely,
BLK ICE
