Gimme a couple days and I will find a timeslip and prove that 1.20's can be done on a stock motor 14. I have done it twice this year, stock motor stock clutch no gas. But I have a really good chassis set-up and shock.

Post away. Maybe the guys running 1.250 on stock bikes need to have the 60ft beams checked. Those are like 40ft times.

For a 309lbs suited rider a 3.836 330' and a 5.95 is pretty good, not ("horrible").
Also, a 1.2 60' is what we were getting at."a stock motor will not do it on a streetbike period."

Beams were ok for me and everyone else @ the track. I'm just sharing one of my time slips with bikeland members. It is what it is. Maybe when you do it or one of the heros on the forum does it then it will be ok. I have more slips with good 60's 1.29,1.37, etc. I'm not defending anymore. Believe what you want to.

Sincerely,
BLK ICE

I have been doing this 30 years, Your numbers don't add up. The 60ft. timers are wrong. I had a 1.34 60'ft. and went a 5.47 @ 132mph on the 1000 at 68". Prostreet 600 H.P. bikes don't 60 ft. that good. matter of fact my 1428cc GS1100 dragbike with a slick and wheely bar only did a best of 1.26 leaving at 8500 rpm on the 2-step. And it still went 5.60's in the 1/8th mile at 117 mph. I am not bashing you or calling you out. the time slip clearly says you did. I just don't think it's right, the timer I mean. You sure that was not the reaction time on that slip?

You had a 1.26 60' and only 117mph. Not bashing or calling you out, but your numbers don't add up. Were is your time slip? J/k.
I think they do add up. It doesn't take 600hp off the line to get a 1.2 60'. It does take the right gearing, clutch, wheel base, chassis set-up/shock, and rider combo.

60 ft times are more dependent on power/weight ratio, chasis setup/tuneup and clutch tune..I have quite a few customers that we have helped with the aspects above and they all run real low 1.3x's to 1.2x's 60 ft times..it is possible..some mentioned prostreet bikes don't cut 1.2x short time..well, you are wrong..the average short time in pst is 1.25 sec...we have a pst bike ourselves and I know 98% of all the pst racers that race MIRock and what use to be AMA/Dragbike..we also have some grudge racers that go 1.18-1.21 short times with slick and sliders and they don't make nowhere near what a prostreet bike makes..pst bike 550+ and grudge bike 250-275..why does the grudge bike 60ft better than the prostreet, power to weight ratio is much better with the grudge bike..pst bike/rider comes in around 685-700lbs and grudge bike/rider comes in around 460-470..hope this clears up some of the misconceptions some my have about what is or is not possible..

Agreed but everyone is talking about stock motored bikes right? I agree that it is about the power to weight ratio for sure but I just don't see a 300 lb dude with 60ft times in the 1.250 range. Espeacially not on a stock motored bike. I would certainly expect 1.290 to 1.320 on a stock bike at 68" to 70" with a flyweight jockey.

Dusty outweighs you by about 60 lbs on a full weight bike and cuts consistent 1.3's. I could definitely see a 14 with the right set up and a good rider doing high 1.2's.

I Think is very possible! I have cut 1.34s on different tracks many times and thats sitting at 65! Lee weighs around 130lbs and his bike is sitting around 68 now I think he will do it he just got to play with the gearing a little but I think it can be done.
