Got a Free pitbike project today

I was talking about pitbikes at work. One of the Assy. engineers said he still had his old minibike but it had not run in years. I asked if he wanted to sell it. He said I could have it since it didn't run so I went by and picked it up from his parents basement on the way home tonight. It's a 1982 Honda Trail 70, although it says CT70 on the side. The exhaust is missing and so is the carb. It's red. I will post some pics if I get home before dark tomorrow. I can't wait to get it running.

I had a CT 70 brand new in 1969 ... Did you know you can get a 127 CC replacement motor for that little 70 cc bike .. It's a bolt in for 299 bucks ..Talk about a fast pit bike !!! They even sell long swing arms for the bike .. In fact they sell more hot rod stuff for that bike than our zx14s ...lol 80 MPH pit bike ...

I got the same bike in orange a few years back and got it running for a pit bike too. Let's just say it wasn't quite as good as I remembered it being as a six year old. The good thing is people love these bikes and I was offered about 3 times as much as I thought it was worth for it. I now have a twenty year newer Honda Spree that I like a lot better. Just my 02 cents worth not dogging anybodys stuff.

I had a 1977 model ct70........fun little bike, except for the centrifugal clutch -- hated it.........always used to pin it and then slam it in gear to pull wheelies
