Finally,Finally! the STOCK WHEELBASE Challenge by Rckey Gadson!
For immediate release:
HAMMONTON NJ(October 17 2010)- Drag racing icon Rickey Gadson will host the most anticipated drag racing challenge of the 21st century. The SWB(stock wheel base) Challenge!
This long awaited competition will be aimed at finally solving the age old question that forums all over the internet are asking?
WHO IS THE BEST RIDER IN THE COUNTRY??
“ My friend Chad Kinser (onefastzxman) has motivated me to take the initiative to throw the CHALLENGE”, and the public has been asking for years to see just who is the best in the world?
My 2 slammed stock wheelbase ZX14’s plus Chad’s 14 will be equipped with Brock’s performance parts
.
“ The hardest part about this whole deal is nominating the riders!” There are more than 20 riders across the country worthy of participating, but we only have three bikes and we only want the ABSOLUTE cream of the crop!
The challenge will put the country’s top 20 riders in a head to head battle on equal machinery to see which rider averages the best runs.
3 riders at a time will alternate between 3 identically prepared Kawasaki ZX14’s with the only difference being gearing. The different gearing will showcase each racers ability to adapt to different setups. Each rider will make 1 solo pass down the ¼ mile then switch bikes until he has ridden all three bikes, then the average of those runs will be that riders final et. The rider with the best average will be crowned “King of drag racing” and will receive a CUSTOM BELT, and gift certificates from different sponsors of the event(TBA).
This event will be covered by the country’s top nationally publicated magazines(TBA), and will be Professionally videotaped for resale to the public.
The first 10 participants (7 riders,3 alternates TBA) will be chosen by Rickey Gadson, the 2nd group of 6 will be chosen by Richard Gadson, and the final 4 riders, as well as 4 alternates, will be chosen by the public by way of a national pole on Psychobike.com and or Bikeland.org.
The SWB challenge will be held at the “Lee’s Performance Center” Finals in Rockingham NC, and Valdosta GA during the “Manufacturers Cup”.
Now that you know the WHAT,WHERE, WHEN, it’s time for the “HOW”! How are we going to make it fair since individual weights make a huge difference for “Power to weight” advantages for the little guys
.
There will be a standard weight of 160 pounds with gear and will be achieved by virtue of a weight vest/belt.
“I figure the only way to guarantee that the rider with the best LEFT hand has a chance to win is to equalize the weight”. Riders will all have to weigh in first and depending on their personal weight, they will have to strap on the additional weight.
Because of my affiliation with the ZX14, I will not compete in the competition
but will make exhibition passes so the public can see just how good these riders really are!

This race sounds like it's going to be a blast! The only thing I have a problem with is the $75 test and tune Friday... A little steep.
How many of you guys are comming?

Planning on attending the manufacturers cup in Valdosta...as of now...but just entering Street ET and Pro ET. Gotta see if my wife will be able to make the trip, being that she will be 7 months pregnant....thats a looooong ride for her to ride in a truck!!! I can't see leaving her behind...so theres a chance that I may not end up going if she's not up to it.

I think she can fly up until she's like 34 weeks... but could be wrong. Maybe you can fly her out to meet you.

Lee gets my vote too. If we bang the drum hard enough Ricky and his crew will hear us,because Bikeland has a loud voice. Chad are you thinking about putting your stock arm on and practicing for this swb challenge?

at 175 lbs it would be a waste of time. Plus I've been working 12-15 hour days trying to get ready for our post deployment inspection. If I even talked about racing right now I think my wife would castrate me lol
