Adjustable stock rear-sets on the 14?

I found a complete solution to this issue!!!
What would you think about a bracket that acts like a new set of rear-sets? BUT they are made to bolt into the stock location of our factory rear-sets. The plate is adjustable 1/2" or 1" inch back, and 1/2 an inch up or down. There are 12 holes for adjustment and placement of your choice. The plate is anodized black so it blends in perfectly. It is CNC milled out of high quality aluminum. And let me tell you they look freaking awesome installed.

A gentleman that i have been talking to locally (he makes all kinds of neat shit for the 14 and other bikes) showed me a rear-set plate he offers for i believe 85 bucks a set bolts included (don't quote me though). He is making more currently but is setting them up to go an inch lower than stock for a drag race application. He says a lot of guys who use them also run an air shifter. They choose to run these plates so they can get their feet back and up away from the shifter with no interference. I am thinking about them primarily to lower the pegs completely and be more comfortable. We did a test fit for me personally just to see how they were with my height and i love them.

As soon as i get pics and a set from him to test out i will let you know. This should be a very good part and well worth the money versus buell pegs and riding pigeon toed. If the stock 14 rear-set will fit on a Connie than these would also work with it. I do not have or know someone around the Indy area with a Connie to do a true test fit. But if anyone reading this knows of someone let me know. Would like to see if they work. I was told a few sets of them should be ready and available in 2 weeks.

I have seen them on a china bike thought it was crafty and good to be able to adjust position from track to street.

PLEASE keeps us posted and get those pics. On longer rides my bad left hip starts complaining. I find if i position my feet in a direction that mimicks what these plates may offer, the pressure on my hip and the pain subsides. I can make these also, but the time I spend doing it is not worth it.

not stock - but SATO racing makes a fine set of rearsets. VORTEX may make some nice ones for the 14 nowadays too

I made a set myself.just like that. the rear break pedel moves with the whole rear set but the shift lever i needed to extend 3/4 inch so my foot could reach... not a problem for drag racing with an air shifter but i also street ride.

The issue i have found with any rear-set you can buy is that they do not go lower. They only raise the pegs. Which in the case of me being 6'4" is a bad thing.

I spoke with Justin today and he hooked me up! We had to do a bit of adjusting on the right side but everything worked out great and the fit and feel is awesome! I will not be using the cycle pirates 360 crap setup any more. And i will not ride pigeon toed!!

Here are a few pics.. not the greatest pics (cell phone shots). I will take more and better pics soon.

Even though it is close, The peg or the rear-set does not touch the exhaust. It is just barely far enough away not to touch. And I have these set to go 1 inch back and 1/2 and inch lower.

What do you think?
Also if you are running a sidewinder you would have absolutely no issues with clearance like i did. These are absolutely wonderful for street riding or track use. Very Very comfortable.

That's a damn smart idea right there..........plus by the looks of the plates, he's making a killing on them at $85 a set..........nice, cheap option for us all to consider in any type racing

Very true, I have had them installed for a few days and I love them so far. I do not have any pains in my knees or ankles from riding position.

The plates are all CNC milled but each hole in them is tapped by hand. He does not trust the machine to tap the holes for the bolts. So that also gave me a little piece of mind about the quality of the craftsmanship.
