Time Slip Study Help
R/T .070
60 1.814
330 6.752
1/8 112.95
1000 8.647
1/4 10.264
MPH 139.70
This was my best last nite. It was about 60 degrees outside, cool & crisp. I weight about 235 lbs suited. I have SWB, Muzzy, PC3, Secondary Flies out, Cycle Logic Lock up, APE Manual Tensioner. I also have a 40 shot dry kit, but it was not use on this run.
I am concerned that my bike is running too rich. Where should my MPH be? I think that the dyno tune was too rich for naturally aspirated runs. What do you guys think?
Three months ago when it was hot and humid, I was running 133 mph.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would have to say that something is not right with your map to start. My buddy weighs the exact same weight you do and runs 145-147 consistantly. I would certainly just worrie about launching the bike. At your weight I would say that you should be able to 60ft 1.60 for sure. I think you should have no problem running a 9.90 if you leave clean.

Mph comes with launch technique, how much you slip th clutch, etc. What he's sayin is don't worry about the mph, it dowry win races.

i dont ride a 14 but have been doing alot of reading for the past year on here and it looks like he just isint letting that clucth out soon enough. he's letting it slip to much and when he does let it out he's at the end of the gear

What RPM are you shifting at and are you using an air shifter??
At short wheel base, I'm sure its kinda tough to launch. I bet if it were stretched, slammed, and geared, you would see better results at every increment. Launching pretty much determines everything else down the track.

I usually run @ ORP, but I ran at Muncie on Friday. I am not sure what the elevation is, but it is pretty close to sea level.
I probably left around 4500 RPM. I have stock wheelbase, foot shifting. I am lowered front and rear and have a drag strap. I think the biggest thing holding back my launch is the stock spring and shock. I tried to launch @ 5000 and wheelied all to hell.
I am running one map that I know is pretty fat. I had it dyno-tuned w/ the nitrous. If anybody has a Muzzy full exhaust, flies out, bmc street filter map that was made at low elevation, I would sure like to try it. Thanks everybody.

I just downloaded the "Muzzy Full Exhaust, Stock Filter, Flies Removed Map" from the Dynojet website. Just by comparison to my map it is WAYYYY leaner.
Question:
Does the fields that list as negative mean that they are pulling fuel from the original map? It has like -6 down to -19 on all the 100% throttle from 6500 to redline.
I threw the map in there and took my bike around the block. It did seem to pull harder. I may take it to the track this week and compare my MPH.

Just a thought, at swb a revalved shock isn't going to help wheelies. I ran mine for the first ime last night and at 66" I couldn't keep the front end down
