john with heavy springs when i was in 1st thru 3rd my clutch didn't slip either . but in the higher gears it did ..i street rode mine with the lock-up and down shifted just fine .. if its going to break anything it will be the slave cylinder by cracking the ears at the bolts . but i never had a issue with that on a zx14 ..

So you think that downshifting (pressing the clutch) at high RPM shouldnt be a problem?

I ask this because many people have said that you wont be able to press the clutch at high rpm with a lock up.

i was able to pull mine in at 10.000 rpm with the cycle-logic using all supplied bolts . you don't have to use all bolts and washers .. on a busa you can't do that because it will push the slave cylinder out ..you have to put a support brace on the busa . thus the myth of you can't pull the clutch in at high RPM's .. i've got more weight on my hays than i ever had on the cycle-logic . and i still pull it in at 10,000 rpm

Well after all this we have actually found what the problem was!!

I still cant believe it........the clutch pedal (since this is on a car) had somehow stiffened up and wasnt swinging freely therefor when the master cylinder tried to return fully it wasnt allowed to due to the tight pedal.

Anyway its fixed now...just took a good cleaning and a touch of lube!! Have pulled the clutch out anyway and fitted washers behind the springs! Hope all is good!
