Beech Bend, Bowling Green, KY, Sept 24th-26th

They're having the Harley Drags that weekend and my friend from work invited me to go with him. I called and they said they're having amateur racing too, but I forgot to ask if they are allowing non-harley bikes to race. Do yall know if I could race my 14? I've never been down a 1/4 mile track before, thought it would be cool.

Most likely not on the 14. most of those events are for the V-Twin guys. It makes them look slow.

Great track and great people down there on any other weekend than HD weekend. Out of a thousand Harley guys that will be there 999 will be tolerant of your bike, one will not. My brother tried taking his 14 in a couple of years ago and the cops would not even let him in. Its like Big said, your 14 will make them look very bad. It is their weekend let them enjoy it. Go when they have their fun runs, five bucks to get in and five bucks to race, track is always good and the people are always willing to help. I can get you some names of guys to hook up with that can help you if you are new to the racing scene. I shoot down there a few times a year and even though it is 6 hours each way it is worth it for me. I always have a great time.

I see! So, out of respect, I need to stay off the track during that weekend. I do plan on taking it there to ride around the place. No harm in that I hope.

If you have never been down the track, your first time dosent need to be at a event. You need to go to test and tune a few times(the more the better).

I've raced many times at the local 1/8th mile track, just never 1/4 mile.
