What will the other guy's insurance cover?

If you are in a collision on your zx14 and it is not your fault, is the at fault party only responsible for the retail blue book value of the bike or the retail blue book value and the $4000 + aftermarket parts on the 14 if the insurance company decides the bike is a total loss?

They will try to lowball you but just keep saying no to thier offers. Keep mentioning that it has 4k in aftermarket parts. I gave my insurance company a stack of receipts from all my aftermarket parts and I have an extra 5k in coverage for them for an extra $28 a year.

You need to get with your insurance company and make sure they have a list and copies of reciepts of all the aftermarket parts if you want them covered. That's what my state farm agent told me

I also have state farm and i was informed and i have it in writing that if the bike is totaled and the other persons does not cover the value of the bike and all of my accessories that state farm will foot the bill. It does cost a little extra per year to have this option tho.

All depends on which insurance company your up against. I got $6700 for my 04 zx10. They said they wouldn't give me market value for the accessories because they depreciate . But still made out great being my blue book was like $5000 & bike buy back was $700. (Which I made over 3k on part out).
