I put a penny between the primary gears, and torqued the nut off, easy as that....

been a while so I don't remember much else.

No I havent got anywhere (job,girl)... but I did find something about a clutch gear setting screw in the manual. Again, still trying to get the big clutch housing off. It doesnt clear the case.
something about aligning "the teeth of the clutch housing gears by the gear setting" pg 6-14. I must not be spinning the housing around far enough to expose a hidden set screw?? Darin

If you are trying to pull the clutch basket out but it wont come out because the outer gear hits against the casing then it is because you have not yet pulled out the centre bush between the shaft and the clutch basket bearing.

If you use a magnet on it and just move the basket in and out a bit it will come out.

Otherwise if I'm not mistaken the bush has a couple of threads in it so you can screw in a bolt and pull the bush out from between the shaft and the basket.

Untill you remove that bush you wont be able to get the basket out as it will keep hitting the caseing.
