if your not letting out of the throttle to change gears and your bumping the clutch, you must be eating the rev limited alive... I'm not the best footshifter, but try popping the throttle to change gears and leaving your clutch lever alone. Your clutch won't last long that way, or your motor if your hitting the rev limiter.

im pretty quick i dont pull it all the way in just enough . but im open to try anything next time the wheather is ok i will try it your way and just lift a little bit . my old bike i used to hold wide open and pull on the shifter untill the limiter it would instantly shift . i havent tryed it on this bike yet . i kinda like the 14 . : )
