Coupling bearing
So my Coupling bearing coped out on me, I find this odd that I have kept it clean dry and have repacked it several times. As I was removing it I noticed there was no Retaining Clip in place! And the Seal area on the sprocket Coupling had several gouges in it where the dust seal sits letting trash in. I bought this bike new, the only place to touch my bike was A dealer in Houston to repair a flat, They broke my wheel and had to give me a loaner. After a long shitty deal I kept the loaner wheel and never went back. So I ended up with a trashed up Sprocket Coupler, that led to bearing failure. You have to love dealers and there sorry work.
So the weathers is great, my bike is down, I have an extra Coupler and a new bearing, but cant find a Retaining clip to fit and it seems to be a special order part from all places I called. Anyone find this part from Napa or anything?

You can probably find one at an auto parts place. Just make sure it fits perfect.
I was just noticing the dust seal on the brake side on my dads blue 14 is sitting inside the wheel instead of being flush with the housing.
I gotta take it apart now to see what failed.

I have mine appart now and looked at it, the seals can just be pushed in a bit to far on one side, I bet nothing is bad, it just needs to be set in straight... I found a ring at ACE! 86 cents! Seems to fit fine. Ill install it for now but will still order a oem one to compair it with. But im sure its A-O-K as is.

Hmm , I thought there was a stop for the seal . Interesting . Also the seal wasn't always pushed all the way in . It used to be flush. Now all of a sudden it's in.
Cool deal finding a ring that cheap

Yeah I can push my seal in very far, I think till it hits the bearing. But I like it flush with the lip for better looks.

Their wheel bearing seals seem rather shitty, when I replaced rear bearings I purposely found double sealed bearings. Got a set from All Balls with seals for cheap. Their seals were the same crap as stock but with sealed bearings it won't matter.
