Back in the Day 13 to 1 was High compression for a street engine............ the reason I use Shell 93 as I get stuck in daily traffic. I read where Jim at Compentition CNC had RG
on his 14 with 16 to 1 and went to lower octane and it blew. I know my 14 is stock but most of the Drag Racers here do not ride their bikes every day and get trapped in stop and go traffic in 105 degree heat like I do. Has anyone tried 87 pump gas at a mile timed track and then tried 93 pump gas to see How Much more speed will you gain with 87 (stock engine)?????

A few psses at the track every week is one thing. 50,000 street miles over 6 or 7 years is quiet another. But for when a "Special" morning of play if the 87 will gain 3 to 5 MPH and my engine is not "Pinging" heck yes I will go for 87.
