heard a clunk

Heard a clunk comin home on 295 yesterday. I was getti off the ramp shiftin at high R's and at about 150 I felt it.
I pulled over, I did notice it looked as thoigh some coolant leaked out, not a lot though.
I checked the chain and did notice it was a little looser but it was so hot probably just due to the heat.
When I got back goin on the highway I didn't hear anything else and I was still
A good 8 miles from home and everything seemed fine considering it was
95 degrees yesterday. The only other thing I could think of is
That I just recently had a new rear tire installed at Cycle World
Maybe the tire wasn't properly seated against the tensioners.
Dunno, the chain and sprockets are brand new, ZZZ chain
And Vortex front and rear. I'm just so use to the motor and the
Tranny bein so smooth that any clunk and I get paranoid.
Suggestions please.

Make sure your rear axle is aligned and TIGHT........if your adjusters jam nuts weren't snug against the bolts and allowed it to back off, could have allowed the axle to shift around and loosen your chain -- Also, check your chain alignment.........it's possible that it's not running centered

-- Not sure about your coolant loss, unless it was just running that hot and puked a little --

At about 11,500 how would the bearings be in the wheels?
Could they be wearin out?

well, if they forgot to install the small spacer inbetween the cushdrive and wheel, then you can bet you got bearing issues.

Bearings at that mileage should be good to go. No problem getting 40k or 50k out of stock ones, and even then they are probably ok. Just depends on how the bike has been treated/maintained.

Sometimes if your clutch lever is adjusted at it's closest setting it won't disengage the clutch all the way and cause a clunk too.

I know a guy who had his tires changed, and they missed the bushing between the cush hub and wheel, and it did alot of damage...
