speedcell battery life

Is anyone running the speedcell battery on the street for any extended periods of time.Im thinking about buying one to save some weight but I dont want to replace it a year later.I dont ride in cold weather and I wonder how they work in the heat?Any input on the subject or brand and best place to buy would help. Thanks

I have not heard of any negative feedback yet.

Works great in the heat. I heat soak the hell out of mine at the dragstrip...on 100 degree days, no issues...even with 50 plus starts in the day, without riding miles to recharge.

I'm still iffy on those things. I'd hate to be 30 miles from the house and it doesn't crank. How much weight loss are you getting with one?

Performance Bikes magazine in the UK are putting a lithium battery into a Triumph that they're modifying. They said it lasts four times as long as a lead/acid type.

Let it go Bro. Lyle is cool. We all have bad days. He has been a Big help here for years.

Some customers who inquired about the batteries he sells kept asking stupid questions,

and after you get enough of these, well..........

Thanks Louis, but don't worry about it bro.
It has been too long here I think.

Anyway, for those intereted in Speedcell batteries:

http://www.motowheels.com

http:///www.schnitzracing.com

I bought mine from Motowheels, and it has served me well for over a year under very demanding conditions at the track. The only caveat is the reduced cranking power when below 45-50 degree temps.
