Hard Clunk/Clicking Sound. . .
Noticed the other day that I get a hard clunk/clicking sound while riding. Sounds like it's coming from the clutch area. The clunk seems to be inline with chain rotation. Not sure if it's from a seize in a chain link, or something in the clutch.
Any tips?

I bet you just need a new chain and sprockets. Drive down the road easy about 40 or so and pull in clutch and kill the engine and see if you still hear the sound.

Yeah, I do. I have almost 28,000 on the stock one. Just wanted to see if there were any other possibilities.

Is there a risk of breakage?

I would be more worried about the chain jumping a tooth on one the sprockets.
Park it Bro. EKZZZ chain and OEM front that has the dampening material on each side.
Rear sprocket is your choice get a 120 link chain and rivet master link....comes with a EKZZZ Gold.
If funds are tight and you need the bike for work. WD40 the chain.a lot and see if the stiff link s that are pinched together will free up, and lube and adjust and look for tight and loose sections of cain for final adjustment on worn out chain. Park IT or drive very slow and easy.

At 28K that chain is history, I doubt if the o-rings are still intact or any lube on the pins. Check the sprokets for worn, curved teeth. Broken chains can be dangerous. Replace chain & sprockets as a set.
