hello all this is my first kawasaki streetbike ....ive been riding for about 17yrs but always had hondas up until this point....cbr's. I was really looking for a blackbird but this 14 caught my eye ....it was an 06 with 600 miles on it so practically new for half what a new one cost so i became a ROK....put about 300 miles on it up till this pointr and so far i am extremely happy with my new toy. Any must do mods that you would recommend doing in the immediate future to a bone stock 14 ...im all ears

Welcome.......... later you will want different tires, a 2008 metal air filter lid. PCIII usb and a 4/2/1 exhaust.
After a few thousand miles the stock chain will stretch out enough for a 43 tooth rear sprocket. Remove the secondary flies. If you street ride a TRE006a will stop the deacell pop(only) at 3500 RPM that you will notice after a 4/2/1 exhaust. Look at Brock Performance site and read up. The 2006/2007 ecu was slow opening the flies in 1st gear.
Ride safe.

+1 on what LAB3 said...Brock's zx-14 diaries are a must read for a 2006 zx-14. There are some very knowledgable people on this site regarding this bike, whether you ride the street, strip, or all of the above.

+2, good advice stated above.
Go for the 43 tooth sprocket for more acceleration when you get comfortable with the bike.
