egine ice

Any one use this stuff? Do you have to drain all the anti freeze from the engine as well as the radiator, or is a little mixing of the two ok?

Mixing is bad. Water Wetter and distilled water might be a better way to go. -bg

I believe that stuff only works if you use it with straight distilled water. That's how redline water wetter works. Drain it, pour it in, and fill it up with distilled water.

I think engine ice is ready right out of the bottle. You don't have to mix with distilled water.

maybe they offer concentrate and premix dont' they?? I need to try this stuff or an equivalent -- I've got plans to install the 2nd fan kit, and eventually buy a ZX10 fender -- but for now, this would be a quick fix to get her cooled down some..........do all of you guys have heat issues in the summer months? Mine consistently runs 2 to 3 bars from the top in the heat

nope....straight from the bottle. You'll be needing two bottles to top it off.

I've used it in several bikes now and it does work better than regular coolant. Living in Louisiana, we see a lot of heat here...I'd recommend it.

It seems to work really well at first, but loses a little bit of its cooling capacity. But I agree with QuarterPounder, it is still better than regular coolant.

Just how often is everyone swapping their coolant?? By the book recommendations or some other standard?

Engine ice is nothing more than Propylene glycol, based on their technical description, so don't expect much from it.
I suspect Red line Water wetter would be better? It's an emulsifier.
