Perhaps you can? I think you can also paint diamonds.

My thought was I would still like to have them for the loss of weight on the wheel but still want them the color of my current wheels

Wheels look great, how much did that set you back? I been eyeballing some Galespeed TypeR wheels. Damn wheels cost more then high end car wheels.

I'm sure you can lightly rough them up with some sandpaper (they have a clearcoat) and then paint them. Probably would void the warranty, though.

17/40 It was really hot and humid at Maxton so I think the bike would have gone faster with better conditions. I tried a bunch of different gearing at Maxton and 17/40 worked best that weekend.

They are stronger than alum & magnesium and they wont corrode like magnesium can. They are easier to mount tires onto also cause I did not worry about it bending like alum.

My brother put a set of ZX10 wheels on his ZX14 and saved about as much weight as a set of Galespeed wheels will. I can tell a difference in his bike but it still handles like a turd compared to mine. If you are going to spend the money for Galespeed I would just wait a little longer and save up for a set of BST. The carbon wheels are in a league of their own.
I work at a shop and we are a dealer of Brocks so if you have any questions just let me know. Here is some info on the wheels. http://prostores2.carrierzone.com/servlet/brockracing/-strse-2443/BST-CARBON-FIBER-CONVENTIONAL/Detail
