Tonight T&T with the new Shinko Hookup
Well I started out with 18lbs in it. It took a few good burnouts before it came around. The track was not that good tonight. ended up at 15lbs. to make it work. after that the 60 ft's came back. 1.36 was the best. That was a high 5.60's pass. I think it is one of the best tires out for the money.

What kind of mph? Once I actually get the turbo installed on my bike, I'll probably have to go with a flat slick in order to hook at my local tracks.

127 mph. I ran a shinko slick on my turbo bike. I tried a flat slick and just didn't like the way the bike handled.

What tire did you have before the hook up and at what psi. Did the hook-up help your ET any?

What hooks up better, the shinko slick or the flat slick?

It does about the same as the shinko slick. A flat slick will hook better but with the wrinkle sidewall of a flat slick I just don't like the feel unless it's on a dragbike with a strut and wheely bars. The Hookup is a great tire. I would say that it equals the round slick performance on a decent track. The round slick shinko is a little better on a crapy track.

A shinko round slick, But everybody bitched about the bike having a slick and not a street tire when you got in the classes at our local tracks. So that's why I switched. It's not got a whole lot done to it. cometic thin head gasket, 01-04 Trans. (Geared lower than 05-08), spray, drop in H.C. pistons. and it is light under 330 lbs. the black bottle in this pic helps a lot. I need to get a light weight jockey on it.
