That thing looks like its never had the oil checked?Its apart in the back of a dirty truck bed.Its had water ran through it at least at one point.

I know. It's a throw together. I got a guy who is going to give me $1800 for the R1 once it's running. The motor looks good on the inside. I am not going to put a lot of time and effert into a bike that's really not worth a whole bunch. It should run like a champ I can still see the hone marks in the 02 cylinder and it has never had water in it. the rest of the engines in the Dodge are junk. I just have to put the motor back in the frame. Pancakes first

So how were the pancakes? I would've had to take 2 or 3 poop breaks if I ate pancakes before heading out to the garage........I usually eat light if I got work to do LOL!! Goodluck man, hopefully u dont run into anymore trouble before she's sold

Yes it ran fine. the 02 motor felt the same as the 00 motor. I got lucky that the bottom ends of the motor were the same so it was simple bolt up and go. A guy is suppose to buy it this weekend so maybe it will be gone. I bought the bike cheap with a bad 2nd gear and got a trans. off of Ebay and fixed it. It is a clean bike with polished frame and chrome wheels and I thought I could turn it for a profit because the R1 is a good looking style bike. But it's 10 years old and has been a pretty hard sell. Most of the guys want Fuel injected bikes now. No one wants a good old carb. bike with a lot of miles on it.
