MUZZY SIDEWINDER VS BROCKS SIDEWINDER

Okay guys here is another question i'd like to ask....on the 07" ZX-14 we took a Muzzy full ehaust system off and went with a Muzzy Sidewinder....NOW we have been getting alot of people telling us we should have went with the Brocks instead???? Just curious how you all feel bout that.

ALSO should you leave the baffles in or take them out? Another thing some people say it's better to take your exhaust off when running on the track and just run the bike with just header and that small pipe that comes out of it?? What about back pressure, wouldn't that make a difference?

K any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks Guys
Kristy

I think either pipe is equally nice. I have ran my bike with the baffle both in and out at the track and noticed not difference at all. Your bike will lose performance with the header and midpipe only. A stock motor does need a certain amount of backpressure to run at its best.

Thanks Leonidas, That's what i was thinking...from reading other post and hearing from others.....since the bike has a stock motor.

Do you think that a sidewinder gives u anymore power then the reg Muzzy full exhaust?? Heard it does/doesn't.....ALOT say they use it simply for ground clearence?? if that's the case wow we wasted money LOL.

Thanks
Kristy

If you go way back on bikeland you will find my write up on Muzzy Vs brocks ...The muzzy sidewinder my bike ran slower than the Brocks sidewinder .. The Muzzy fit was ....Well lets just say it wasn't all that good.. The Brocks sidewinder fit very good .. I ran both with baffle out and saw no difference..

I've had the 4-1 Muzzys, the Tsukigi, the 4-2-1 Muzzys, and now the Brocks TiWinder.

Some fit better than others, some sound better than others, some are built better than others, some are lighter than others, some give better ground clearance than others....bottom line, they all are pretty close performance wise. Buts there one huge difference that the Brocks has that the others don't, and that's CUSTOMER SUPPORT!!!!

I wonder if my extensions flex that much.......? Makes me want to buy a full swingarm. Then again, you rode it like that for a LONG time.

If you're a lightweight rider you should be fine with the extensions!

I think it is distortion from the camera lens. I don't think the arm could deflect that much and return to it's original position.

My spencer cycle extensions don't flex, and that's launching at 7k with 16/46 and weighing 180 lbs.

KD, you sound like my dad (TNT from the boards)... He had to put a catalyst seat on his bike with it slammed so that he could lean it over during his burnout lol.
