2010 factory tuned zx14
i will be buying a brand new 2010 zx14 as soon as the dealer gets the bike in and assembled.
this will be my second zx14. My first was an 07 and as u all know that thing was a pain to launch with the secondary computer controlled throttle plates in. i removed them and used a map downloaded form the powercomander website and the bike ran great.
i have read that the 08 and up zx14 are less affected by this problem, and i am wondering if i remove the secondarys and bought a power comander, is there any way i can get around having to buy an exhaust system and matching map? can i just add a % to the fueling arount the 3,000 rpm range my self?
i plan on geting exhaust and maps from brock's but i really dont have the money to buy an exhaust right now.

From what I understand the 08/09 opened up the flies at a much lower RPM, but they were still there.
I didn't notice a bit of change in my 08 over my 09.

Like smokin said, ride it first. When you get ready for a exhaust, then you can pull the flies and add a pc

NOOOOOO... don't ever ever ever ever ever pull the secondary flies. It's a waste of time and money. Just change the gearing on it and be sure to buy an exhaust that isn't too loud for your fragile little ears...

not sure how a free mod is a waste of money, but from the other posts i get the notion that the secondarys are not much of an issue anymore.
can anyone confirm if the 2010 is identical to the 08-09? if not, are there any note worthy changes?

I was just making fun of zx14fan because he's a firm believer that pulling the flies is a waste of time.
The 10 is the exact same as the 08-09.

Every time I ride my bike, my flies grow back. Am I missing something or is there a way to remove the flies forever?

Sounds like a hygiene problem. If you ride in the winter ( assuming that it gets below freezing where you are ) then problem solved.

I love my 08 with flies out,and can state it is still an issue on gen 2 14's as well. A bike that has a computer in control of the throttle is just wrong.
