quote: Ok just ran a 08 busa at the track friday nite he was from MIR his 60ft was a 1.39 and running a 8.87! you guys are all so gullible on this stock motor shit! come on! he told me it was bumped up to a 1447cc. I even redlit and he passed me like i was just cruising. He told me he was 2 tenths faster at MIR. Those guys are all putting those kits in those bikes. They got you hook line and sinker!!!!
That guy plain ass can't ride period! my buddy runs 8.90s on his busa with the valve cover never being off as a matter of fact here's his whole set up. he's 166 lbs unsuited. bike has 2 lb battery, 7lb lighter sub frame and 8 lb lighter wheels. he's added 2 1/2 lbs in the front axle. Brocks gen 3 can with an generic ecu flash, air shifter, and 87 pump gas, piper cross filter and zzz oring chain, and all gsxr 1000 stacks, -1 in front up 3 in back. he's 63 1/2 inches and if he could ride like JT he would go 8.70's easy. he can only go 1.46 or so 60 fts. his mph is 125 and 154 to 155. if his bike was a 1447 he would be going 8.60's like clock work. in very bad air friday night he went 9.05, 9.04, 9.08 and 2 9.10s but he was 60ft 1.50 to 1.52. and yes with a 14 set up the same he would run the same numbers. I think you guys are forgetting how light that bike JT rode is 485 lbs is almost gsxr 1000 weight with Busa hp and TQ. plus a 110 lb rider. plus carbon air box and every other trick those guys know. not hard to believe that was a stock motor.

Lee,
FYI: 25 passes on the BMW clutch in a day and a half, and we glazed 4 fibers and 2 steels with NO CLUE what to do on any clutch spring, chassis or gearing settings - why the clutch hate? I was impressed. Granted, it’s not a 14 clutch, but NO BIKE has EVER had a clutch as good as a 14, and no 1000 has ever come close.
Lil' Nick ran 8.57 @ 159 on our stock motor 08 Busa last year with a 138 60ft. I believe an 8.42 @ 161 with an air shifter. Jeremy rides his ass off, and Cecil has been doing a great job tuning. Well done HTP!!!
Wait until you see what we can do with MR12 and a button shifter on the BMW… along with our cushion and proper gearing in good conditions. We had one weekend on a new bike; I'm pretty happy with our results, but I assure you, we are not finished. Hell – we just started. You can bet on that.

Clutch hater ..lol... Never heard that one before .. I hate changing clutches at 200+ plus runs on my zx14 ..Just think about how pissed i would be to change them at 25 runs ..
Brock i think the BMW is a cool bike but just not my cup of tea .. As you know i'm not a fan of any liter bike.. But i will say as i have said before the BMW IMO has won the liter bike wars ..

What is the fastest stock motored ZX14 pass ever made? Modifications do not really matter just as long as its a stock motored bike thats NA.
Thanks

You know i really dislike the term HATER , Hater is a term used my grade schoolers .. I would rather use the term DISLIKE ..I think what really bugged me is that Brock said it to me ..Of all the smack talk done by others about the BMW i get called a hater because i dislike a liter bike clutch and by someone i look up too ....I really didn't see that coming ..

No, my last time at the track was my 9.11 pass ..It's so damn hot i just don't feel like going .. As far as Jesse , Jesse needs to get a truck to haul his bike before we install the SS head on his bike .. Then we will tune it for the xxx118 fuel ... Right now Jesse is using his zx14 as a daily driver because he has no car ..

PERFORMANCE
Power & Torque: The power increase with the Akrapovic system is substantial, and can be seen from 7000 rpm right to the top of the range. At 13270 rpm we measured 191.30 HP, with a max. power increase of 11.15 HP at 8450 rpm. The system’s effect on the torque and power curve is huge and strongest at midrange rpm. The main increase starts at around 4500 rpm and continues right into the over-rev range. All this will help you shave lap times
shane ain't NO booza gonna top this..

brocks bmw is sick, dont get me wrong, if i was one of those lucky guys that is blessed with a second bike it would be a 1000 without a doubt. But after owning and and TRYING to race both it's obviouse the 14 much more reliable, consistantly faster, and twice as easy to race in a strait line.
oh and BTW, feel free to pin me as a clutch hater! but i completely understand where brock is coming from. His bmw is built to fly, who cares if it needs more maintenance

Who cares if it needs more maintinence?? A clutch every weekend is freaking expensive!!! At $400 ea it would cost more to put clutches in than fuel, motel, and entry fees.

Don't waste your time posting info like that . If you do anything better than anybody else you are a cheater. Very nice 60ft and yes, I buy it for sure. I have seen Busas at 68" do it all the time at our local track. Once again, nice job!

I hear ya. thats not acceptable for most of us weekend warriors.
But like i said i see where brock is coming from. That bike is all over the internet with brocks parts and stickers all over it. It's doing exactly what he wants it to do. Clutch problem are to be expected when developing what is basicly a prototype dragbike.

Thanks, I have no reason to lie about my times. I have been doing some small time grudge racing at my local track and there are some lurkers here; that is why I haven't post any times.
