Went to the track yesterday mixed results

Well went back out for the first time since getting the bike back together and tried some index racing. there was only 1 entry in the 9.50 class so I decided to run the 10.50 class as there was 10 entries. 2 bikes and 8 cars. well they did open time trails first and I went 10.503 and 10.490 at 131 shifting at 7500rpms and tank plum full for extra weight. so then the 2 time trails that counted came up and I went 10.62 and 10.554. first rd had a car I treed him pretty badly my .078 to his .358. let him get up beside me then just held him there I took the win my 10.75 to his 10.63 next rd had my buddy on the other bike our lights where about dead even and he got me by 10.85 to my 10.87 as I tried to play the game and let him by and could not get back around him. all in all had a blast. then I tried to wide open runs and found out I can't leave with my short clutch lever I installed. makes it like a on and off switch. had to 1.72 60fts and ran 9.65 and 9.66 wheeleing and letting off. gona have to go back to long levers! just felt good to have the bike bacl together again!

Wee I probably said that the wrong way, I let off to control the wheelie and then got back on it. went 148.56 and 149.34. like I said in other post air was 2400 ft. if I get a long lever back on I expect low 30's high 20's

Thanks for the heads up on the levers. It has crossed my mind to look at some of the shorter ones, but it sounds like that wouldn't be a good idea.

Yes it pulls good, this with a ecu flash no pwr comander. I'm also down to 195 in gym shorts. can't wait to run it with a long lever again. it's also -1 in the rear

The DEnsity altitude calculator I have does ft above sealevel, temp, and barometric pressure. It tells you how good the air is. The DA here could be anywhere from 3,000 to -1000

I can't imagine your bike having any more of a lightswitch clutch than it does in stock trim. My buddy vince's 08 with a stock clutch in it fucking blows. The thing makes power like crazy, but you just can't 60ft the fucking thing.

Well first weekend out went 1.59 60ft before the wind blew it over and was getting quicker each pass but the peg got broke so had to quit running. sure I could have went better. clutch was very easy to control. with short levers went to passes and 60 fts where 1.70's no control at all. all in the lever. I had a racer tell me I would not beable to ride with them but he told me that after I already had them so I tried it anyway. clutch on my 08 is the same as my 14's where nice and smoooth.
