Since you bought the pipe used, are you sure that the previous owner didn't remove the
baffle and reinstall it using different rivets? If you were the original owner of the pipe I
could see wanting a warranty replacement of some sort. I don't see how a manufacturer
or seller could / should be responsible for their product 2 or 3 owners down the line. I am
aware that the auto industry transfers warranties but that doesn't apply here.

Good point.... But................ He needs the baffle not the whole silencer. Brock posted on this forum last year about how his systems had replacement parts. Seems to me Brocks should have asked to see the silencer to see if orginal rivets were his. Just so he can look for further problems from older systems sold.

I mentioned first or second point of my email to brock was that I can understand from a business perspective, he cant just hand over a new baffle, not knowing if someone before me monkeyed with the original integrity. I was and am ready to buy just a baffle. I want to keep him in business as well as others like him. I have to think this is a first or very rare. I am the second owner from my knowledge. Rivets were gonzo after I got back home. I am ready to buy a baffle used or new. Shit happens if it has tits or pistons!

I'm really disappointed that brock hasn't had anything to say about this. I understand being busy, but if he still hasn't e-mailed you that shit is unsat. If I didn't read the rest of the posts I would think that you were dealing with rob muzzy.

How can I manually and nicely remove my AH baffle? Any advice? I'd like to try it out.

Also, does baffle out reduce low end power? I've never been baffle-less.

Drill out the rivets with the right size drill bit is the way on a muzzy. In my opinion you would lose some low end and gain on the top end if your mapped correctly. Not a good trade off if you ride on the street. An AH has little restriction. Since it is not meant to be removeable, It might come apart on ya. I'm glad I'm not your neighbor if you like it that way...

It appears as if Brock doesn't get back with you guys within 20 minutes some of you feel
he is neglecting his customers. Did it occur to you that it is racing season and it is his
busiest time of the year? Some of you seem to forget that you have e-mailed him during the
off season which has enabled him to respond in a more timely fashion. Food for thought.

How long does it take to check an email then tell one of his employees" take care of ____ I'm busy over here"? Not good business if you ask me. If I made a living selling pipes you know what comes first for me? Selling pipes and taking care of the people buying the pipes.

Did it occur to you that the volume of e-mail he receives on a daily basis out paces his
ability to answer them as he receives them? I have e-mailed him a couple of times
already this year and received an automated notice of excessive e-mail volume in his
mailbox. He has a lot more going on than what you are reading on the internet.

We are. I'm just not jumping on bandwagon to bash him like you are. I'm merely pointing
out that people have to see things from his perspective as well.

well let me ask you this, if your bike was just laid down, and a big race was coming up in your back yard, how much would you be on the internet ? the great thing about brock is he's a track guy like most of us, but he is human too, you can't expect him , at the busiest time of the year, to respond immediately. to bash this guy is absolutely rediculous, he is one of the very few guys in the business that will sit on the phone with a nobody (like myself) for over an hour and just talk about what he thinks will work for you and your bike. give the guy a chance, and if you think it's not happening quick enough, call and speak with rhonda, i'm sure it will get worked out.

the last thing i'm goin to say on this, is this. if it wasnt for people like brock, or ryan schnitz, the bikes we ride, and the sport we love would be a lot less fun. these guys give a lot of themselves and of their time to make our bikes better, and i applaud them.......THANK YOU !

The thing is that people are so used to brocks customter service being the way that it has been in the past (I.E. e-mailing him and getting a response back within 24 hours), that it is almost unacceptable for it to drop to the level of rob's. As for ryan schnitz, yes he is a great guy... I will NEVER buy parts from their shop again though when I can get them for the same price or cheaper from someone else without getting the run around and being overcharged for shipping. It is what it is.

Everyone knows that brock is busy, but I guarantee you that his e-mail hasn't gone unread for 3-4 days now (since it goes straight to his blackberry).

I have bragged and bragged about the BDE customer service and only heard one person ever speak of having a bad experience with his company, but lets face it. No one is perfect so sometimes people are going to be blown off and customer service will slip through the cracks. I'm sure that as soon as he's able to get around to it this wrong with be righted.

This shouldn't b a big deal anyway, if ur not the purchaser/first owner of the pipe then all bets r off as far as replacement, and that's not bad customer service that's just big business, he may offer some input on a fix n may inquire on how n why it happened, but he is still not obligated to fix a hand me down exhaust, just my opinion, look at it this way, it may run faster et 's lol, n just gear it taller to keep the rpms down on the highway, lmao! ;-)

Since I also have a life outside of my bike, I am in no hurry. I have a streetmeg that is my muffler of choice anyway. What I'm looking for is to BUY a fix for a SPARE muffler I have. end of story. When I called Hindle, the guy was very helpful and thought I was somebody else that had the same problem this week. It's the 2nd time he's heard of this, ever. I'm hoping I won't have to spend $300+ for a baffle in the end. If not, I could less if it's fixed really. again, I'm not one of those looking for a freebie, just parts for a pipe I like.

After all the bragging about Brocks customer service and Brock himself posted here

he had all the parts for his systems. Dent a head pipe no problem he has a spare for sale.

He made a big deal about this a while back. Now we find out you have to purchase a complete silencer to get a replacement baffle.

dcjens did Hindle quote a price for a baffle only????
