alien head baffle went by-by

I went to for a 400 mile freeway ride fri/sat and while at warp factor 2.. the baffle blew out! I had earplugs in and my ears were numb after after 100 miles or so. I took my exit and discovered it was a little louder than normal. The entire guts with endcap are gone. I spent several hours attempting to find a way to quiet her down for the trip home. The rivets were sheared off on the inside and 1 head showed outside. crazy huh? needless to say, I didnt get arrested, but 4 hrs home was grueling.

back in the day we car oil filters as baffles. just cut the end off that crews onto the engine with all the holes in it . that worked with the old school kerker, russ collins,& vance & hines pipes.

Glad he was cool. It's $10.00 a mile for the first 20 over the speed limit here in Texas.

I bet Brocks replaces it Free. 1st one I have read about shearing rivets.

If you ask me , I think your new manual CCT is the culprit . The motor doesn't want all that backpressure now and so it spit the baffle out

rivets will stay in much much longer than screws bro... use stainless rivets.
