What's your address?
Ok - Just kidding. But, the culture of my company is to help and I will be sure to pass on your kind words to Steve.
I do make myself available from the beginning to end at every AMA Dragbike national event, perhaps someday you can stop by and say hello. I wish I could speak to everyone who calls, but I'm a bit chatty and I'm usually several hundred e-mails behind so phones just don't work out for me very well.

I don't remember hearing anyone complaining Brock screwed them over. True great customer service is what we should expect anytime we spend our hard earned cash but with motorcycle vendors that is totally not the case. So whenever a guy comes along that treats us right we appreciate that. I bet you could throw out just about any vendor's name out there and hear the horror stories come rolling in.
I'm not a Brocks nut hugger by the way.

Steve you said the BMW would be fast.................... It IS.
Will it take the abuse that a 14 does? Time will tell.
Parts are very expensive.
Good BMW dealers that have Tech's trained on this new engine and electrics?
Too expensive for my budget.. ..... too small and cramped for me on long rides.
Not enough Low end torque Sport Tourig 2 up in mountains 1000's are not the right bike
for how I ride. Great bike for a hour ride......... you will see when you get in your 50's... :-)

Too expensive? The base model is $400 more than a ZX-14 retail for retail, I believe...
I'm 45 now and I agree on the comfort level, it's a race bike. BUT WOW does it put a big smile on my face when I take it out for a spin. Mine has the dynamic traction control, anti-lock brakes and built in quick shifter so add another $2K and it’s worth EVERY PENNY. I feel like Aaron Yates every time I go out for a ride and I'm telling you, about the only way you can crash this bike in a corner is to forget how to ride completely or run into gravel or anti-freeze. The Germans simply pimp-slapped all other forms of traction control available from the Japanese or Italians when they installed the Bosch gyroscope/lean angle sensor and combined it with the throttle by wire on this bike.
We've spent all this time talking about the power of the bike produces, I can't even put into words how well he controls his power and you guys simply won't understand until you do what I did; take one for a ride, crank it over real hard in the middle of a corner in sport mode, close your eyes and whack the gas WIDE OPEN TRYING to make it spin out.... it won't do it. In fact, it simply applies progressive power as more tire becomes available until you wheelie out of the corner. Then, just as your mind warns you that you're about to loop the bike and that you should let go of the gas-- the anti-wheelie detection sets the front end down FOR YOU. It's bad ass, stop crying—it’s a better bike if you like going fast. Period.
Also: You guys should watch your mouth with the F-bombs…. my kids read this stuff.

Brock I paid $8,500.00 for my 07 when the 08 came out. Extended warranty too. Neighbor purchased it new. I almost never buy a new bike. Wait until winter...... deals to be had.
Too expensive for My Wallet... :-) Large family.
Upkeep would cost more. Clutch packs were said to be very expensive???
Dealers and Techs??

Last I noticed this is a forum where MEN who ride zx14's talk about their bikes. If the language is offensive I'm sure their are many other places on the Internet for children.

Realistically, I believe most BMW dealers will want full retail? Of course, I've never bought a BMW...so, I don't really know.
Plenty of brand new 10R's and 14's for $8-$10k right now. I think those are mostly 08-09 models, but still they are new bikes. And while they are not the fastest, they are far from slow.
Regarding the power, I can't wait to see what the local bikes run at the track. I know that the one that was on the local dyno made 8 more hp, stock for stock, than an '08 10R (170 vs. 162 SAE).
I'm very interested in how the clutch is going to hold up on these. I know that it is problematic for most 1000's. With that much hp, I'd also like to see what the bikes could run flat out on the top end. Seems like 190+ mph should be within reach, easily. I'd love to see one of these at Maxton. I'm sure it would take a tiny rider to tuck in and get out of the wind.
