I don't know what my bike can do with a pro like Ryan Schnitz on it...I guess it would go about as fast as any 455 lb. stock motored ZX-14.
I thought you had a 1530 kit in there now :-)

I remember reading that you guys get over 200hp on the 14 with your SS head, what kind of bump in torque is there? Just curious about where the BMW will fall out HP and Torque wise with one of those heads.
Typically raising the compression will give you more torque at every rpm. But it does not raise the VE of the engine. So the torque/power curve is the same shape, just higher.

Geeze, I was just reading and catching up on this thread... howd it turn into a lame pissing match?
I remember back when labusas was THE bike board and almost every thread degraded into a pissing match.
I've been spending a little more time over here lately (usually stay on the dragbike side) and it seems that this side has way more pissing matches.
I think we need more technical threads with more interesting info to keep the natives calm.

It throws a code, I believe due to no speedo signal. In order to reset it, you have to remount the gauges and ride it a little bit so the ecu can see some mph input.
Been there, done that.

Surely the point is that it's a shop window for the products used and shows what can be done. It's also a feather in the cap of Brock, Ryan and company for being the first there.

It is always going to throw a code if you remove the gauges...even if you don't see it at first, it will be there. Happened to me at Maxton.

LeonidasZX14,
Damn dog… we should meet some time - I think you might find me quite charming?
If I were a “marketing genius” I would probably go for the throat and put up the charts we don’t show everyone, like testing against the Akro:

Or maybe the ones where we just flat out go for sick bragging numbers:

And that’s with our stainless system… the Titanium makes about 3-5 more depending upon where you look on the curve. I would love to show you those curves but BMW snatched up Christine (that's what we named the BMW after she showed Ryan so much attitude last Sunday) right after we cannibalized one of their demo bikes to repair the damage this morning. FYI: They asked if they could bring her to the World Superbike races in Utah next weekend to display under their tent… SSSSSWWWWEEEEEEETTTTT!

Truth be told, I'm a horrible businessman. If I were a good one; I'd be ruthless and looking for profit at every corner. I wouldn't drive a four-year-old pickup truck and live in a modest house that was built in 1972. I wouldn't reply to e-mails myself, especially at midnight and on weekends, and I certainly wouldn't care if my customers are HAPPY. I would simply sell my product, and then look for more customers to screw… leaving the unhappy ones in my wake.
I'm just a hard working motorcycle enthusiast who considers himself a completely normal guy. I’m proud of what we do here at Brock’s Performance, and I'm damn glad that I’m able to wake up every morning and not deal with some ass for a boss or hate my job. The American dream is pretty cool, and I’m truly blessed to live it. I've always hated thieves and liars, so I treat our customers the way I would like to be treated if I were one myself.
That's it - that's our big secret to marketing success. The Internet is a wonderful place while we can all speak our peace; so there’s mine J.

Great job Brock! I bought my ZX-14 in 06 and you did all the early research to make me a believer. Now that the Beemer is out it doesn't surprise me that you are the first to make it run down the track.

Don't get me wrong guys; If I'm going for a Sunday ride with the boys - my FIRST choice is my Diary ZX-14. I now have our CT Duals installed with BST's and it's hard to walk past it to throw a leg over ANYTHING else.
Also, stock wheelbase for stock wheelbase there is no doubt I'm going to go quicker on my ZX-14 at the drag strip because this BMW is so damn difficult to ride. I can say this with confidence, even though I haven't ridden the BMW at the drag strip yet – I’ve had it out on the street plenty and it's basically a Stupid Fast unicycle! Unless you have world-class riding skills, don't fool yourself into believing that you're just going to head to the drag strip and run quick ET's on the BMW with a stock wheelbase. Anyone who thinks they have a fast bike, better stay away from the BMW from a roll also.
BUT, if you lengthen the chassis--- all bets are off and there is absolutely nothing that will hang with this bike set up apples for apples with a stock engine. This thing is no joke.

I'm glad Brock chimed in, I know I would have if I was in his shoes.
If BMW can make a 1400cc based on the S1000rr platform, while the Euro is down and have it at a competitive price, they could really put a hurting on Suzy and Kawi.

It's a little scary...but BMW (of all companies - It’s just hard to believe I'm saying that?!) has the knowledge to produce the world’s first PERFECT motorcycle as far as I'm concerned. They know everything there is to know about comfort and reliability, and now they've proven that they can make ridiculous horsepower for a given displacement.
Now we just need to convince them to produce it…

They had supposedly done it and for some reason pulled the plug on the project. Somewhere around 04 if I recall. Why dont you ask BMW about it Brock?

The point I am trying to make that was taken as me being a Brock hater is this.
I hope that any consumer including myself expects that when you give someone your hard earned money that you get good service in return. In your case we give you our money, in return you answer our emails and occasionally take a call or two from us. I have purchased many things from you because you give good service and have good products. Steve does a good job handling the phones. I honestly appreciate it . I just don't know where all of these other people shop because what you are doing is what I expect from everyone that I do business with. Now if you came and installed my TiWinder that would be exceeding my expectations ;p
