I just changed to 16/43........ Hold On. Driven rear in black steel. Kaw Zephyr 16 front. Had to adjust chain 2 times. The dampner material on the sides of the front 16 had to wear in from the
chain links.

Mine was only 11 or 12 percent total with that gearing, verified by two different GPS's.

they must be making the speedo more accurate then.
The math says 11% alone

That is what my math said as well, I put it at 11%, but it is actually somewhere inbetween 11 and 12% because 12% puts it just above actual. I would rather it read 1 mph or less slower vice the other way around.

At 70 MPH what is your RPM?? I am 16/43 but have 190/55/17 rear so my math is different.
My speedo healer has a pig tail for a second set of corrections. Looking for box for part# and re-check the site.

I don't know what RPM I am running at 70 to be honest with you I really never run 70. But I have a Muzzy Bonneville Pro on mine.

Muzzy did not make this when I got a healer. Cool no speed limiter and correct speedometer. Don't think that will be a problem with 16/43 and you have a 50 series rear. 170 something now. I need to do the math and reset mine for taller rear tire.

I got it planning for a trip to Maxton. I am transferring to Virginia Beach in a few months, so I will finally be back on the right coast.

your a jack ass, contributing the same drool and dribble as usual.
absolutely useless .

anyone who does a search will see that the speedo is about 8% optomistic, and your leaving top speed on the bench if you don't correct for it.

There are countless others since 2006 that have witnessed the same thing

ask lee what his dyno shows for speedometer error.

I concur, the speedo is about 8% optimistic in stock form, verified with GPS. And I thought that it would be more that the 11% that the math showed as well, but it didn't work out that way.
