ME!!!! .I tried running my nekked turdbo zx14 this weekend it has no factory gauges .well on 5lbs of boost it has 2 mph over my stocker . the motors is fine the A/F is FINE datalogging . it just has no power . like alot of timing is removed . next time out i will have gauges on it !!!!!!!!!
lesson learned ..dealer mode or default mode sucks ..

I was wondering if a zx10 ECU could be used ? looks like the sensors are the same , but the wiring is alitlle diferent with some of the sensors going to the gauges on the 14.
so maybe a zx10 wiring harness and ecu would work ?

Think I met you at the shootout Friday night. Didn't realize it might be you till right before I left. Enjoyed the night...had a nice bracket race with Rich in which he edged me out, as usual.

that was you that was running the other blue zx14 with rich .. i was doing good in the bracket races right up to the time when i threw my chain and put it on the trailer

No, I ran that guy on the other blue 14 a few times in the test n tune and usually got him by a couple of tenths. I walked up and talked to Mike before they opened the lanes while the bikes were still on the trailer. He introduced us, (he kept saying it was hot, hot, hot), but I didn't realize it might be you until the end of the night as I was leaving and kinda got a better look at your bike on the trailer. I have the silver 14 - 6" over. Good bracket race with Rich. I kept waiting for him to edge up a little closer to me, but he wasn't buying into it. lol Too bad you threw your chain, hopefully it didn't cause any damage.

no damage .just bent the adjuster bolt .. but can't get no mph out of this bike ..my old bike averaged 155mph this one only 144mph .. and i don't think fairings are killing that much mph ..even 1/8th mile is down the same around 10mph lost with same boost setting ..you must been the silver zx14 park next to us .. but next time come say hey .. you can't miss me ..

Have you ever talked to Eric out there? He has an old maroon/silver turbo busa. Loves to tinker on it more than run it at this point, but he knows his stuff. I hope to at least make the next shootout, and maybe a Wednesday or two before then. Now that I know who you are, I'll certainly come by and say howdoo. Good luck on that turbo.

fairings dont do much in the 1/8 . If your 1/8 mph is down 10 mph , you must be way down on power.

are you thinking it ran bad with no gauges -- I run mine without gauges and it doesn't seem to hurt it ?

Oh, OK...I get it now. You started this "hurt/broke down" turbo thread knowing that out of nowhere I would write that I think we met...all so you could entice me into this sordid wager. Even though I realize that your turbo'd bike will probably be making about 270hp next time I see you, I will take you up on said bet. In other words, sure my man, I'll run ya for a cheeseburger, should be fun.

i do have a set of gauges coming and it will have full fairings in an attempt to get my 15 mph back on that turdbo .... i have to pick on the zx14 guys now since my gixxer buddies are rolling fast nowdays ..

Yep. Ol' Mikey's running pretty quick on that yellow gixxer. If you're feelin kinda randy, maybe you can take on my little buddy Brandon. That should be a real race for the turbo.  Other than that, yeah... I think I'll probably be adding to your cheeseburger collection, but it'll be fun trying!
