bike won't start

my bike started about 3 weeks ago and I rode around town putting about 10--15 miles on her. Yesterday i tryed to started it. The bike run for 7- 10 sec. and cut off. Now it just turns over but won't start. I tried push starting, even pulling it with my pickup truck.I tried starter fluid spring it in the throttle body and still nothing. The gas in it is from the winter with out fuel stabilizer but i rode 10- 15 miles on that same gas 3 weeks ago. What could be the reason she won't start? I have 4350 miles on it, 87 octane in it . could it be the old fuel, old spark plugs, fuel pump? I do ride pretty hard 170 plus and wheelies. Please help!!! And how do I get the red clip thing that connects the hose to the gas tank so I can drain the tank. And how do I get to the spark plugs

Pull the tank. The manual is available on line in this area. The red clip can be undone by squeezing the tabs on the back side of the fitting and pushing out. Have a golf tee ready to plug the hole because gas will come spewing out.

Drain the tank. Rinse with fresh gasoline. Fill with fresh fuel. I would put some fuel injector cleaner in with the first tank. You may have gummed things up by letting it sit so long. If that does not work you will have to work through all the parts to see what is failing.

It’s rare to see a fouled plug these days. The plugs can be checked by using the factory tool to remove the plugs. Be careful when removing the stick coils. They are expensive.

Check the air filter to make sure nothing has taken up residence while the bike was hanging out in the garage.

Take your seat off and look at fuel line on tank. Sometimes they get pinched i had the same problem. it's just not getting any fuel. Good Luck hope that's it.

Spraying starter fluid in throttle body should make it run for a moment? But it won't do that. I Check the fuses under seat. All looks good ignition, ecu, fan fuse. Is there a fuel injection fuse? Disconnected tank fuel did not come out when hose was disconnected half tank fuel in it.

If your tank is on your bike the fuel line on the right hand side is the one that should be leaking fuel when line is off. I would take something thin and long to stick in there. Do it gently and to see if anything is blocking it. Maybe got some bad gas.

I know this is a really stupid question. If no gas comes out when you pull the fuel line first thing to check is does it have gas in it? Please don't ask how I know.

1/4 to 1/2 tank of gas was in it before I took tank off and drained it.

you would think the bike would start with the starter fluid at least while holding the start button. I do it with cars to check the fuel pump' if it runs as long as i'm spraying it that tells me its the fuel pump.

If fuel doesn't come out when the fuel line is removed you may have an obstruction in the fuel pump as noted above.

Back to basics:
Fuel
Fire
Air.

Be CAREFUL when check if the plug sparks. Use a jumper and ground the plug to the engine block. When you engage the starter do you see a nice fat blue spark? Check all plugs.

With the gas tank tilted open the inspection plates. When you engage the starter do you see the injectors spraying?

If the plugs are black or very dark you may have an obstruction in the intake.

Make sure your battery voltage is up around 12.8 to 13 or so! If voltage was low when you first tried to start , and it failed , you fouled the plugs. These bikes don't crank on a low battery ! Charge the battery , and replace the plugs, and it'll crank !
