Standing behind your product....
Well, I changed the gearing on my bike and wanted to get the speedometer to read correctly. I was going to buy a speedohealer but have seen enough stories about those screwing things up so when I saw the Muzzy's Bonneville Pro come out I thought that would be perfect.
I received it and installed it and it works...thankfully because after I was finished I read the warranty statement and saw this.

So if it had been bad I would be screwed. I am still tempted to take the damn thing off and send it back to them and tell them where they can put it.
Regardless that is the First and ONLY thing I will ever buy from them.

Any electrical part has the same basic disclaimer on it now a day. Reason being a lot of dip sh!ts hook stuff wrong and want the manufacturer to eat it because they fried it on install. All my a/c electrical parts have the same disclaimer. That being said,It Does Suck,Dakota.

I hear you, but even so, my DynoJet PCIII didn't have a disclaimer like that. Or anything that I can remember recently. A lot of them do say do not return it to the store or distributor to return it directly to the manufacturer, but to just say I know you paid 150 bucks for this, good or bad you are stuck with it is just plain dirty.

That is a basic electrical component disclaimer. You cant see if a hermetically sealed component was wired wrong and shorted. They could swap out three of them before the customer realizes he wired it wrong in the first place. I sold lots of electrical parts and the manufacturers did not warranty anything unless it was installed by an authorized vendor(me).

Just put a piece of black tape over it & pretend it's not there. That's what I do for my "check engine" light in my truck. Can't see it, don't worry about it.

My Bonneville allows the gear indicator to read normally, and it workswell, it has about 1mph difference from my GPS. I am -1/+3 and the dial is set at 88% (-12%).

It is probably about 12.5, but that is the closest one. If i put it at 13% it reads a little slower.

The gear indicator is just an estimation by the ecu of what gear you're in based on rpm and speed. So, whenever you gear the bike, the gear indicator gets all screwy. Unless the Bonneville changes that, I believe that's just the nature of our bikes....

I installed a Cometic thin head gasket on a stock motor Busa bout 3 years ago. I have a 3 stage torque/retorque process when i put heads on that pretty much eliminates any problems with head gaskets. Bout 5000 miles after this was done the head gasket leaked across the bores. When i contacted Cometic bout the failure of their head gasket on a stock motor, that was the EXACT statement they sent me. I had to eat the job, including sending the cylinder out to millenium to have the deck ground flat again.
Sneaky u know whats.

............. That's because it was a head gasket...... not electronics. If you put pistons in a bike and rode it for 5k miles, would you expect any warranty?
Electronics are one thing (dynojet has been great to me), but when you put something in a motor, there are WAY too many variables (and stupid riders/builders) for a company to back internal components. The only company I know of that has such a good warranty on parts is Turbonetics. 1 year no questions asked warranty...... which is crazy....... but I would still go Borg Warner or Garrett over TurBLOWnetics

lol...my thoughts exactly. I can't remember who it was, maybe SteddyTeddy will remember. But there was a guy on the ZRXOA that had Muzzy's build and engine for him, and after it was done they wouldn't even tell him the specs of the motor. Wouldn't give him cam specs, what they were degreed too, compression ratio or anything. After I read that I told myself then that I wouldn't ever mess with them....oh well.

i spent over $20,000 with muzzy about 6 years ago, (between 3 bikes) and my muzzy lock up for my 12 started leaking oil, i replaced the gasket twice, come to find out the spacer plate was machined wrong and was letting the oil leak out. i took it to a machine shop and had them fix it out of my own money and never tried to get a refund or anything, ran into rob muzzy at the indy dealer show and told him about it, but told him i fixed it so it wasnt a big deal, his response, not i'm sorry, not i'll make it up to you, but "that's not possible, we sale a ton of those kits and never had anyone tell me that happened " ......what a rude asshole ! i was a dealer, and a long time customer and he pretty much told me to suck it.........i would never sale, own, or reccomend anything that says muzzy on it !
