Pingle all electric shifter
Looks like I "may" be loosing some ability to grab the clutch like I should because of finger joint issues on the left hand. I'm seeing an orthopedic surgeon next week.
Does anyone use the Pingle all electric shifter on the street?
I know it's a bit spendy ($851.00), but I can't see getting a VFR1200 just so I don't have to grab a clutch lever any more.
It looks pretty easy shifting up AND down once you're in first gear.
Thoughts??

I've never used it. But you can shift up and down without the clutch, without an aftermarket shifter.
I apparently have some arthritis in my wrists as well. Stop and go traffic is a real bear.

+1 on the up shift without the clutch. I use the Dynojet Quick Shifter on mine which enables you to shift without releasing the throttle.

Can you cruise around using the quickshifter or is it just a drag mode item?

Acat you can still cruise with it, you simply set the minimum rpm you want it to kick in at. I think mine is set somewhere around 7k so anything above that there is no need to back off the throttle.

So what you're saying, is you can still shift at 4000RPM, for instance, but you have to back off the throttle before hitting the "up" button?
What about shifting down at 4000RPM? Do you have to blip the gas each time?

I have the pingle electric shifter, I use mine at the track most has never missed a shift at the track. on the street it will work i never use it anymore for downshifts on the street because if you dont give it throttle and put a load on the transmission it will miss the shift. Same with upshifting. that might be cured by increasing the kill time though. Its a good unit built really nice the shift clynder is larger than alot of the air shift clynders. and moves your foot peg out about half an inch in which you get used to in about a week. if you want pics let me know i will post after work when i get online.

you can shift it at any point just like any other bike using the clutch or by just bliping the throttle. setting the minimum rpm will not allow it to work below that set limit. there is no up button with a quickshift, it's simply a switch that works with your pcIII that momentarily cuts off ignition thus unloading the transmission. it enables you to shift up without using the clutch and without having to blip the throttle. the one i have is mounted on my shift lever so when you apply pressure it shifts into the next gear almost instantaneously like an automatic transmission.
