OSR pan installed

The weather was nice today and I couldn't quite get into riding for some reason. A bit nippy, so i decided to go ahead and take shit off and put the OSR pan on in the driveway as the garage has a 37 Olds taking up all the room. I got halfway done before dark and it went pretty good. I was glad to see the oil pan have nothing in it but oil. It was spotless in there. no chips, shavings, clutch bits...or chunks. I got a little uncertain real fast when a o-ring fell out of nowhere. A few phone calls to James/Arcadian and he got me squared away. Thanks James! The rest goes back together tomorrow. Now I'm lowered front and rear, shortened stock kickstand along with the modded pan from OSR via James. I found an oil leak on the left side valve cover that has left goo down the front/side slightly. 20K miles now. I don't do a dirty bike so I'll get into that and see wtf. sorry-no pics. hmmm what mod next? Dj

Dcjens what was the quality of the welds ond the OSR pan? I talked with Shannon on Friday and am about ready to pull the trigger on this mod myself. I also spoke to Adams and came away with a feeling that they were almost bothered that I called them with questions. I will be spending my money at OSR without a doubt.thanks for your reply in advance.

Im no weld inspector, but they look great to me. The drain plug is pretty small and allen-head on this one. warm oil might shoot backwards Might have to just drain it in the yard I think OSR is the way to go. You can order it ahead of time I believe and pay the core charge then get credit if/when you send yours back to them.

Dont quote me but you are basically selling your stock pan back to them so its open ended or if you want to keep your stock pan, you can do that too. The way I understood it is, you remove and ship them your good stock pan and they send you a modified one off the shelf. If you want one now, pay the core plus purchase, and they ship asap. Shannon at OSR could have a preferred way of doing that transaction so He deserves a call first. (317) 523-4049. I got my pan privately from here so I didnt buy it from OSR. I hope that answers your question. call OSR!

I remember Shannon posting he might have a little different style design in the near future to make up for the few 10ths of less oil. So see above for the phone number. After just finishing the job, My only concern is the drain plug is an inside allen bolt that seems to thread endlessly into the pan and could fall into it. and it drips now. I'd prefer a cap style with a washer or better yet, the full size as the stock bolt. I didnt get any instructions and maybe should have doped or thread taped it before adding oil. I like it though! That rightmost header tube is a pavement magnet on a standard Brock's pipe. I dented mine without ever touching the stock pan (leaning right, with a minor pavement bump...bike lowered). On a Brock's CT or Muzzy M-14 you would have even more clearance.

Nice pan!

WE have pans on the shelf always ready to go -- if you do an exchange they are 125 shipped out the same day. If you do a core buy then we charge you $265 then credit you $135 back with return of your pan.

The drain on the back is now a 1/4 pipe plug ( some of the old ones had 1/8 but we bumped it up after slow draining.

if anyone has any questions feel free to call or email osrbikes@gmail.com

Thanks Darin, Glad I was home to be able to help. Your welcome to call anytime you need some help.

OSR is also the best service I've had recently.

James
