I guess density altitude doesn't mean anything when you're so old that you carry your own oxygen supply around with you.

Wee I am gonna have to give the nod on this subject to Bawls. I test(car)at Bowling Green Ky.which is about 500 feet above sea level.Cali is like 2600 foot above or some crazy number. I bet Texas is closer to my sea level here. That would have to be 2 or 3 tenth slower in Cali at that level.

Maybe .20, on an NA motor. But with that big shot of nitrous (very cold air in a bottle), I'm not sure how that translates...

You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

In that case, there are several good DA calculators out there. The temp of the air has the biggest effect of all, as I'm sure you know.

I'm sure a scorching hot day in TX has worse air than a cool day at 2500'. I am near sea level, and the temps need to be 90-95 to give me a DA near 2500'. The humidity has a lesser effect, but still can be significant. Now, a 100-105 day...forget it!! I did some of those last year, and lost about .15-.20.

8.52 is like 150 HP away from the 7's. If you consider that pretty easy, well then, yes pretty easy.
